Watch Face Setup & Troubleshooting

To add StressMonitor complications to your Apple Watch face, two requirements must be met:

  1. StressMonitor Watch App is installed on your Apple Watch
  2. watchOS 9 or higher is installed

Adding a Complication

We recommend configuring watch faces directly on your Apple Watch rather than through the iPhone Watch app to avoid compatibility issues:

  1. On your Apple Watch, press and hold the watch face to enter edit mode
  2. Tap Edit
  3. Swipe to the Complications tab
  4. Tap a complication slot
  5. Scroll to find StressMonitor and tap to select

Common Issues

"Complication unavailable" message

This is a known watchOS compatibility issue. Configure the complication directly on the watch (steps above) rather than through the iPhone Watch app.

Watch face elements missing or blank after adding

Usually temporary after a watch app install or update. Try restarting your Apple Watch. If it persists, remove and re-add the complication directly on the watch.

StressMonitor doesn't appear in the complication list

Verify the Watch app is actually installed: open the Watch app on iPhone → My Watch → check StressMonitor shows as installed. If not, tap Install. Due to Apple's system delays, watch app installation can take several minutes.

Watch app fails to install

  • Confirm watchOS version is 9 or higher
  • Ensure both iPhone and Watch are connected to Wi-Fi
  • Watch must be unlocked and not in special modes
  • The download progress bar is unreliable — just wait without repeatedly tapping

Supported Watch Faces

StressMonitor complications work on any watch face that supports third-party complications, including Modular, Infograph, Infograph Modular, California, Meridian, Solar Dial, and Numerals Duo.
